Dushambe Tea House

Today I ate Nori Tofu Salad at the tea house with a pot of house green tea. I am ashamed to say that this is the first time I've eaten here. As you can see in the pic, the tea comes with a timer so you know how long it has steeped. The flavors in the salad were amazing. We'll be back soon.

A Special Prize for Easter

Axel enjoyed the hunt, you could say he was a good egg. When dad and I were hiding the first eggs we found a small lizard and caught it. We decided to put the lizard into a plastic egg, write Special Prize on it, and hide it a nice shady spot. Desi was the lucky recipient. She picked it up and said, "Oh, Special Prize!" and promptly pried it open... I barely had time to point the camera to snap the look on her face as the lizard jumped out. Priceless. Here is Leah and Dez holding "Special Prize"and his Easter home. Leah seemed to like Special Prize more than Dez. Axel was oblivious and continued on the hunt for eggs. Note the size 6 outfit from Mexico Grandma and Grandpa brought back. Fits him perfectly! Dez isn't too old for egg hunting and recovered from her surprise nicely. Leah found an egg floating in the pool. We hid some so well that we had to retrieve them ourselves. Special Prize found a warm home on Axel's head. He continued to be oblivious....

This is a Test of the Doggie Broadcast System

Dad doesn't care for the barking neighbor dogs; they're yappy. Last night he left the living room abruptly and walked out the front door. Shortly thereafter we heard a din of barking coming from outside. Dad had gone over to the fence with his PDA to agitate the neighboring canines then record the ensuing bark-fest. Today he hooked up the PDA to some speakers for doggy stereo. When he cranked the volume, the dogs began barking once again and we had doggy surround sound.

Mutant Pine Cone

Leah's friend Billie Blue found this cone in our backyard. Leah said it comes from the North American Ginormo Pine and it is ten years old. It's name is Pino Bob.
