Whipped Cream and Memorial Day Pancakes- Light on the Syrup please.

This Memorial Day we went to a series of things at people's houses. First was the Bolder Boulder viewing party at the Fiskington's house. I stood in the way of the runners so I could get good pictures like the one below. The Elite Men's winner crushing it through the Fiskington's neighborhood. Baby Fiskington offering some of his mum-mum (I thought it was pancake as that is what the rest of us were eating). Our host BBQ-ing the pancakes. Beth was concerned we'd run out of syrup so she put a warning on it. And after all that fun we beat the rainstorm by hightailing it to my Aunt's house for lunch and bar snacks (some people call them hors d'oeuvres but not us). Aunt E and her girlfriend Sally were there, along with my cousins, my parents and my children. We ate well and [some of us] drank mimosas. Jon and his mother-in-law (hi mom!) spanning time over lox and artichokes in Aunt E's backyard. My cousin Emma has a penchant for decadent treats involving...

Estes Park Weekend

We started the day off making muffins at our house and got a double yolk! Then we went to Estes Park Center and decided to roller skate... Aunt Elisabeth is a former Figure Skater I'm a real roller skating guru, see video in the post below. Leah hurt her wrist but gives us the thumbs up. Axel had a good time learning how to walk on wheels. Arthur was a very good help to Axel. Leah went horseback riding with Emma; she said her horse was gassy. This is a funny pic. The horses look hungry but can't be fed. Axel can't have a pony ride so he's having an Arthur ride. Arthur is being choked. Aunt Elisabeth, Emma, and Arthur are all so cute.

Cute Cousins part deux

Cute Cousins

Here is Arthur teaching Axel his ABC's.

Happy Valentine's Day

Grandma Robbin sent a great kit for Leah to assemble homemade Valentine's cards. Emma helped Leah while the grown-ups had cocktails and Aunt Elisabeth's delicious bar snacks.

Whipped Cream and Candy

Aunt Elisabeth: "Emma, is that just a bowl of whipped cream?" Emma: "Yeah, and candy."

Axel's Dinner

He ate mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and avocado. Then he had some milk and passed out on Aunt Elisabeth's bed.

Kathy likes the wine

At Easter supper we had a 2005 muscato/arinto wine from the Adega de Pegoes winery in Portugal. Kathy liked it and so did everyone else :)

The Stinky Mellow Dog

This is Taylor, our companion for Easter dinner. She had the giblets.
Drank margaritas with Aunt Elisabeth and Jon. Ate Chinese food. Jon took this picture of our giant baby, Axel.
